Why would anyone burn data to blank CDs at this point? I think that some people are stuck to the idea of physical media, be it CDs or DVDs despite the fact that more convenient alternatives are right at hand. I mean, if you burn a CD with just a few small files on it, you’ve wasted a blank CD that can hold thousands of times the amount of information that they take up. Why not go with something a little more logical?
The Sandisk 8GB Cruzer Contour High-Speed USB 2.0 Flash Drive is a tiny device with an enormous capacity. Don’t let the diminutive form fool you — it can hold over 10 times as much information as a blank CD. It doesn’t matter how small your files are, as this is treated as a disk drive when inserted into any USB drive. You can add or delete files as many times as you want, or carry around entire programs with you. It’s the upgrade to physical media that we never saw coming, and now that we have it who can imagine going back?
