You Pearl Jam fans out there might like to know about an upcoming soundtrack with an Eddie Vedder solo track. Brushfire Records is releasing the soundtrack to A Broke Down Melody, a surf documentary. The film follows a “tribe” of surfers as they travel to different parts of the world looking for the best waves. Surf docs are a niche market, but there’s some beautiful cinematography here — you get a feel for the local customs when the surfers travel, and in a couple of scenes you practially feel like you’re riding the wave yourself. The soundtrack features the Eddie Vedder song, “Goodbye,” plus work by M. Ward, the Beta Band and other popular alt-rockers.
