Ain’t Nothin’ Like Me - Joe’s CD Release @ J&R
Joe’s audience loves him. They filled J&R Music World’s Pop Music Store, lining up to have him autograph his newest CD, Ain’t Nothin’ Like Me and swooning as he sang samples from his career’s highlights. They sang along when he asked, loud and in key, joyfully.
His music is smooth and heart-felt. His beautiful voice reaches into the crowd, like warm carmel spooned over whipped cream. As he delivers love promising lyrics, the women in the audience shriek.
Joe Thomas’ parents were both preachers and he was raised in Alabama as an active church member, singing in the choir, playing guitar. As a young man he served as choir director. He came to New York after High School graduation, worked in a gospel music store, sang in a local church and began his musical career.
