The iPod Shuffle is already hugely popular for its complete simplicity; there’s no screen, it’s tiny, and you can clip it pretty much anywhere. It’s the perfect music player for people looking for an iPod for the gym or for people who don’t mind listening to their music in a random order. But the previous versions haven’t been all that big, with 1GB being as large as they’ve ever come in. No more!
Apple has just announced that it’ll start selling 2GB iPod Shuffles, doubling the capacity of its tiny portable music player. Coming in a variety of colors, it’ll allow you to bring up to 480 songs with you wherever you go, which seems like just plenty for a player that doesn’t allow you to navigate through your music on a screen. But if you’re all about listening to your music on shuffle and want the smallest player around, you really can’t go wrong with the new 2GB iPod Shuffle.
