New Apple iMacs

Apple unveiled their brand-spanking-new iMacs today, complete with a new design and upgraded innards. The iMacs are Apples all-in-one computer solution, with an entire computer being crammed in behind a flat-panel monitor.

On the outside, we get a new brushed aluminum finish, black accents around the screen and on the back, and a glass screen. The older, 17-inch iMac is gone, and now only the 20 and 24-inch models are available. It looks like the age of small computer screens is coming to an end. The keyboard is also brand new, with a super-slim design and key spacing and tactile feedback that matches the popular keyboards on the MacBook laptop line.

On the inside, the iMacs now come with Intel Core 2 Duo processors standard, as well as ATI graphics cards. You can load them up with up to 4GB of RAM or 1TB of hard drive space if you’d like. It’s a significant upgrade both inside and out, so if you were holding off on getting an iMac until now, your wait is over.
