Apple Upgrades Its iMacs

New Apple iMacs

Apple recently upgraded its line of popular all in one iMac computers, stuffing them with more powerful tech goodness while keeping them as sleek and as simple as always. The new, high end Apple iMac with 24″ Screen Desktop Computer is one of the more exciting models to be updated, with a huge 24-inch screen and a load of great features under the hood.

It comes loaded with a super-powerful Intel Core 2 Duo processor at 2.8GHz and 2GB of RAM, plenty to run just about any application you can throw at it. Couple that with the included ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro and you’ve got a great video editing and game playing machine. It’s got a sizable 320GB hard drive inside for storing all of your data and media, and the 8x SuperDrive will read and burn DVDs in a snap. It’s the perfect all-around computer in a sexy case to boot. What’s not to love?

    I am interested in going Apple for my next computer. I had a fatal error and nearly all my programs for my DELL XPS Gen 5 cannot be restarted.
    My question is how am I supposed to get used to not having 500 GB of hard drive by going to Apple? I may not have seen all available Apples, but none I saw had anywhere near that kind of capacity. Please respond either to my e-mail or via the telephone (423-569-4358). I am wanting to buy soon because I simply cannot function w/o the use of Word and the ability to write letters! Thanks a lot for a response.

    You can get up to 1 TB of hard drive space.

    Can anyone tell me the advantages the $1799 iMac has over the less expensive version ($1499)? I noticed in the comparisson of the two from J&R, the less expensive version was not listed as being equipped with an OS. WTF? I’ve never owned an Apple computer but I’m sure not going to buy one where I have to install an OS from an out of the box system. Am I misreading or misunderstanding what the cheaper version comes with?

    Thanks for the help!

    @Chris:

    All Macs come with an Mac OS X.

    The more expensive iMac has a larger screen and more powerful processor.
