ascreed

Riding off the currents of last week’s release of Modern Warfare 2, gamers can barely come up for air as some more anticipated games release on Tuesday 11/17. It’s pre-Thanksgiving into the Christmas season. Looks like game machines will shift into high gear.

The most eagerly awaited game for mature gamers is the sparkling sequel, Assassin’s Creed 2, for X360 and PS3. Discover an intriguing & fascinating new epic story of power, revenge and conspiracy set in a pivotal moment of History: the Italian Renaissance. An action filled adventure, meet myriads of macabre characters ready to kill at a wrongly pointed breath of air. Suspicious backgrounds reveal lascivious acts beyond imagination. Due to violence, blood, and sex, this game has an ESRB rating of M (Mature) for age 17 and over.

Tony Hawk, larger-than-life skateboard legend, has yet a new game with a remarkable twist. Tony Hawk: Ride comes with a special skateboard that takes you on a virtual boarding adventure in your own home. Releasing for X360, PS3, and Wii, you can face physically challenging adventures without confronting the winds of autumn and snows of winter.

Tony Hawk: RIDE’s motion sensing skateboard lets you control the action with your feet just like you’re really skateboarding. Lift, tilt, and turn the board to pull off amazing tricks. The Casual difficulty setting makes the game instantly fun to pick up and play. Then move on to Confident and Hardcore modes for tougher challenges. Take on up to 8 friends in multiplayer, RIDE six locations across the globe and master over 100 tricks, and explore the deepest create-a-skater ever in a Tony Hawk game. Wii owners can even skate as their Miis! With an ESRB of E10, everyone age 10 and over can thrill ride through the Winter solstice.

A holiday season can’t roll by without a great game contribution from LucasArts. LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is a graphic adventure that you can build on. It also has an ESRB rating of E10 so everyone qo and older can enjoy constructing their own adventures.

LEGO’s Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues combines the fun and creative construction of LEGO bricks with the wits, daring and non-stop action of one of cinema’s most beloved adventure heroes. With a unique, tongue-in-cheek take on all the Indiana Jones films including, for the first time ever, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. LEGO Indiana Jones 2 follows Dr. Jones’ escapades from the jungles of South America to the Peruvian Ruins and beyond. Fans can experience the most authentic LEGO experience yet by designing and building their own levels brick by brick, and by fusing their levels with the ones in the game to create a custom experience. In LEGO Indiana Jones 2, everyone can build, battle and brawl their way through their favorite cinematic moments — or create their own.

Everyone can vacation on Planet 51. Planet 51, the white picket-fence world reminiscent of 1950s America is happy, safe and predictable…until the unpredictable happens! Out of the blue, Captain Charles ‘Chuck’ Baker’s spaceship comes thundering down. Unaware of his surroundings, Chuck begins to realise that he is not alone. Taking refuge while planning his return home, Chuck meets green-skinned local, Lem, and realises that he may be the real ‘alien’ after all!

Based on the upcoming family animated comedy from the writers of Shrek and Shrek 2, Planet 51: The Game, invades consoles everywhere this November 17. Look for the E rated (Everyone Friendly) game for X360, PS3, Wii, and Nintendo DS.

Left 4 Dead 2 is another M-rated sequel for Windows PC and the X360. This frenzied action infused game is definitely not for the faint of heart. It advances realism in this horrifying First Person Shooter to new levels. It definitely deserves the M ESRB rating, for players age 17 and over.

Set in the zombie apocalypse, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning Left 4 Dead, the #1 co-op game of 2008. This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns. You’ll play as one of four new survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of classic and upgraded weapons. In addition to firearms, you’ll also get a chance to take out some aggression on infected with a variety of carnage-creating melee weapons, from chainsaws to axes and even the deadly frying pan.

Helping to take L4D’s frantic, action-packed gameplay to the next level is AI Director 2.0. This improved Director has the ability to procedurally change the weather you’ll fight through and the pathways you’ll take, in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match your performance. L4D2 promises a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience every time the game is played, custom-fitted to your style of play.

These games are among dozens title releases expected on 11/17 and 11/18. The season is off to a good start. Those HDTV screens are going to be blazing with color and action. You can forget about winter blues this season with all these great games coming at you.
