Last night Timbaland stopped by J&R to promote his latest album, Shock Value II. A nice crowd turned up to meet Timbaland and purchase the CD, and he was gracious enough to chat with all of his fans. MTV also stopped by J&R and posted a photo of Timbaland holding up his CD at the in-store (see photo at MTV.com). Essence Magazine also published a photo from the event (see photo at Essence.com).

Buying gifts for people that like to cook can always be a bit tricky. You never want to buy them something they will never use, but you don’t want to purchase something trendy or useless, either. Here is a list of products that we here in the J&R office have actually used and recommend for those people in your life that enjoy spending time in the kitchen!

I received the Henckels J A Twin Signature 7-Piece Block Set as a gift a few years ago and can’t even believe I used “lesser” knives for so many years! First of all, they are a perfect starter set for someone that’s just learning how important good knives can be. The blades are extremely sharp, so no need for sharpening out of the box. As someone that is always terrified I’m going to take off part of a finger when chopping vegetables, the chef’s knife is very sturdy and doesn’t feel like it’s going to randomly slice in the wrong direction.

J&R would like to congratulate the New York Yankees on their 27th World Series win! We were proud to have a float in the parade that worked its way through the Canyon of Heroes. Andy Pettitte, along with his family were on the J&R float.

The last World Series victory for the Yankees was in 2000, so it had been almost a decade since the Yankees had a ticker-tape parade. Fans started lining up as early as 4 in the morning in anticipation of the celebration.

We here at J&R are beyond thrilled to have been a part of the parade. It truly was an honor to be a sponsor of this event. Enjoy these photos from the parade!
