On December 8th, the Downtown Alliance and the Taxi and Limousine Commission joined with J&R President Rachelle Friedman to formally launch a new taxi relief stand located outside of J&R Music and Computer Word on the east side of Park Row between Ann and Beekman Streets in Lower Manhattan.
“Any opportunity to take a break and use a cabby-friendly business’ restroom is something that drivers will appreciate,” said TLC Commisioner David Yassky referring to the newly designated spot that taxi drivers can use for up to an hour.
