Share

For centuries, military and mobile life required food and ways of communication. Back then, biscotti was food. Today, Biscotti is a communication system. Can we then say that biscotti are the epitome of mobile perfection?

Got Internet access, there’s a new type of biscotti from Biscotti that lets you use your TV as a phone calling system. You can video-call anyone with a smartphone, tablet, or other Biscotti system. It’s easy to use and a tasty treat to enjoy all year. This Biscotti may help carve the way people communicate today and tomorrow. Another form of biscotti have been used for over 2,000 years. Biscotti is plural (biscotto is singular but nobody had just one) and something to savor, use, and enjoy.

Biscotti actually mean cookies and have been used as holiday and everyday treats for centuries. Biscotti originated as a twice-baked cookie. You’d bake a loaf, slice it up, and toast it. Now you have cookies that can last quite a while in your cookie jar, though people around the world will eat them habitually. The term was made popular by the Italians.

The process of toasting bread as a preservative goes back to the Romans. They toasted bread under sunlight to preserve rations. Biscotti are toasted cakes. Mandelbrot are a version with Jewish origins. The Germans have zwieback, and the Spanish have carquinyoles. The French serve croquets de carcassonne and Parisienne biscottes. In Greece, you’ll find biskota and paximadia, and in Holland, you’d be served a rusk. Centuries ago, biscotti proved to be an ideal food for soldiers, sailors and fisherman, who needed sustenance while on long journeys.

Much like biscotti, the Biscotti spans the world and allows you to make calls via WiFi using your smartphone or tablet and a Biscotti enabled HDTV.

Biscotti is a TV set-top box and revolutionizes HDTV as a new form of home or office phone. Make video calls to/from anyone using another Biscotti TV Cam, iPhone & iPad, Android Smartphone & Tablet, PC’s & Laptops. The Biscotti has a sharp, 5 megapixel camera and responsive microphone that captures the whole room… or just the part you want.

With WiFi compatibility, calls are using Google Talk, a free service offered by Google worldwide. While no PC is necessary, the Biscotti use voice over internet protocol (VOIP) and requires an available router and internet service.

You can make and receive phone calls using 720p HDTV standards. For HDTV, it is recommended that you have over 1MB Internet service speeds, even though the system can operate with as low as 256KB per second speed.

Simply put, the Biscotti TV Cam’s technology unifies things you already have in your home or office (Wi-Fi connection & your HDTV) to bring your friends, family, or business associates to you in high definition. The Biscotti TV Cam allows you to call other Biscotti users, or anyone using Google Talk on their computer, iPhone, iPad or Android! Furthermore, they can call you.

With the Biscotti TV Cam, a Wi-Fi connection and your HDTV, your call request is placed to Biscotti servers and from there; a determination is made if the person you wish to call is available to receive a call (on another Biscotti, or on a device utilizing Google Talk). If the person you are trying to call is available (and answers), the call is connected and completed using the Internet. This service feature is very beneficial.

The Biscotti TV Cam was purposefully designed so you cannot make or receive calls with anyone that you have not pre-authorized. Individualized contacts and settings that you create provide the best security because you can only communicate with those who receive and accept your contact request. Likewise, you have ultimate control over those you wish to have contact you as the Biscotti TV Cam allows you to accept or ignore each contact request.

Whether soldiers calling home from across the globe, or your child outdoors, or anyone in particular with Google Chat or Google Talk, and WiFi can reach your Biscotti.

There are many other uses for the Biscotti system. Use it as a security camera or to call you baby sitter when you’re away from home. Biscotti is continually updating services, via software downloads, adding new features to make life with Biscotti even more appetizing.

Setup is simple and easy. Biscotti are enduring treats. The Biscotti VOIP HDTV system can bring waves of joy without consuming calories. What other pleasures lie ahead?
