It boggles my mind how cheap hard drive space has gotten these days. Forgive me while I turn into an old man, but I just need to reminisce for you for a quick second. I remember when I was a kid (and we’re talking the mid-1990s, not that long ago), I had a computer with a 1GB hard drive inside. I thought it was huge. I had MP3s on there, and every time I wanted to download one, I’d need to delete another to make room, because it was always full. I dreamt of a day when I could have more space.
And now, look at this: Dane-Elec DAZMP1024TR 1GB Z-Mate USB 2.0 Flash Memory Pen Drive. Yes, it’s a flash drive with the same capacity of my childhood hard drive, and yes, it’s less than $10. Less than $10! Good lord. And in a size that can easily slip into your pocket, it’s one of those things that just shows you how far technology has come in such a short amount of time. These are crazy days, my friends. We’re just lucky enough to be living in them.
