Catch Michael Clayton Before the Big Awards

The Oscars® are coming! Now that the writer’s strike is over, the show is definitely on, so it’s time to catch up on all the nominated movies that you might have missed last year. And if you missed out on Michael Clayton, you’re definitely going to want to make a point of seeing it.

Nominated for seven awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay, and Best Director, it’s one of the most critically acclaimed pictures of the last year. Starring George Clooney as the title character, it’s a dark, tense thriller about a “fixer,” a lawyer who knows how to clean up messes for people. But he ends up getting in way over his head when he has to deal with the fallout from a fellow lawyer representing a huge agro-chemical company. You never really know where the danger is coming from in Michael Clayton, which is why it’s such an affecting film. Don’t miss out on seeing it before the big awards night!
