UK’s Telegraph Recommends J&R

Proving, yet again, that J&R is a world-renowned shopping experience, UK’s daily news site Telegraph listed J&R as one of NY’s top shopping stops.

Here’s what they had to say about the computer store:

There are no less than four floors of new, used and refurbished computers, from the latest Panasonic Toughbook with 3rd Generation Wireless, to the simplest second-hand Acer TravelMate, and experienced assistants are on hand to help.

On the audio store:

There is a choice of more than 277 types of speakers (look out for the latest Bose and Yamahas) as well as amps, headphones, MP4 players and stereo systems. A separate department specialises in the sale of jazz, classical, world, rock and electronic music.

Lower Manhattan Reinvented

With all of the construction going on at the World Trade Center site, you can expect to start seeing some major changes to the overall look of Lower Manhattan. And a lot of those changes are happening now! NY Magazine takes a look at some of the new high-end stores moving into the area. Along with such retail landmarks like J&R and Century 21, you can expect to see Tiffany & Co. and Hermès open up stores in the coming weeks and months. It looks like Lower Manhattan, the city’s oldest neighborhood, is about to become New York’s newest prime neighborhood.
