Why Aren’t You Watching “Torchwood” Yet?
Seriously, if you consider yourself a fan of sci-fi, you have no excuse for not watching this fantastic BBC series.
The spin-off of the mega-popular British series Doctor Who just aired its third season on BBC America and it did not disappoint.
The show follows the exploits of Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones, three special-ops that investigate extraterrestrial incidents on Earth and scavenge alien technology for their own use. As the opening montage of the show states, they are “outside the government, beyond the police.” It’s a darker, more adult sci-fi series, as opposed to the family friendly Doctor Who. Think of it as a mix between The X-Files and Buffy.
The Bourne Trilogy Arrives on Blu-ray
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, then you probably know about the critically acclaimed movies centered around uber spy Jason Bourne, played by Matt Damon. So far, there have been three movies in the series; The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum.
Jason Bourne is an amnesiac trying to discover his true identity, while trying to unravel a conspiracy within the CIA. It’s gripping stuff.
