Clearing the Suburbs of Zombies

Monster Madness PS3

I find that video games are at their most fun when they combine elements of the fantastic with things we recognize every day. While battles with aliens in space are fun, they’re more fun when they’re done with people we can related to or in places we recognize. That’s why the upcoming Monster Madness: Grave Danger looks so fun: it takes the ridiculous premise of a horde of zombies attacking a group of teenagers and plunks it down in plain old suburbia, a place we can all recognize.

What we aren’t used to, however, is requiring a huge arsenal of firepower to keep them at bay, including a wide array of upgradeable weapons that you can build onto as you progress through the game. You’ll be able to play with friends at home or friends around the world using the game’s online capabilities, and the frenetic action will be sure to keep you enraptured til the bitter end of the battle. And when you leave the house when you’re done playing it’ll definitely take a minute to adjust to the reality that there aren’t, in fact, any zombies to take care of in real-world suburbia.
