Comic Con Comes to NYC This Weekend

NY Comic Con

Geek heaven goes by the name “comic book convention.” This year’s New York Comic Con will be the city’s annual taste of sweet, creamy geek heaven. Picture a 3-day celebration of pop culture, and you’ve got NYCC. Fans get to meet other fans, then geek out over their favorite entertainment. “Comic Con” isn’t accurate as a name — the convention also focuses on movies & TV shows. This is what really sucks people in: A chance to meet the people who make the magic. Whether it’s their favorite sci-fi writer or the cheerleader from Heroes, fans get a peek behind the show-biz curtain. For three blissful days, regular people have a shot at touching the magic - becoming part of it, instead of watching it on a screen. New York Comic Con has something for any science fiction and fantasy lover, or fans of pop culture in general. We’ll be attending and reporting on it, for the vastly underserved geeks of our city. Prior to that, we’ll also be doing a profile on NYCC attendees who also happen to be Real New Yorkers. And don’t forget, Stan Lee will be signing DVDs at our sugar daddy’s store this Friday.
