If you’re a fan of the Grand Theft Auto series, you don’t need to wait forever for GTA IV to come out. Nope, you can have all the open-ended fun that you want by picking up Crackdown for the Xbox 360. Similar to GTA in that you’ve got a gigantic city to explore and do what you will with, it has you on the other side of the law than that violent classic. Yes, you’re a cop in Crackdown, but it doesn’t stop there.

What makes Crackdown so cool is that as you play, you’ll develop superpowers, such as the ability to jump from high rise to high rise and the ability to throw cars. You don’t start with these abilities, mind you … you earn them. That makes it all the more fun to play through, as you can see yourself becoming more and more powerful as you advance. And with the amazing graphical power of the Xbox 360, it’s a huge step up from any version of GTA that’s been out so far. And hey, don’t worry, GTA IV will be out eventually.
