Brings More Kart Action to the DS

Seeing that Mario Kart DS is still perhaps the most critically acclaimed game to come out so far for the super-popular Nintendo DS handheld system, it’s no wonder that Diddy Kong Racing DS is hotly anticipated. Featuring similar gameplay as Mario Kart, what with the cartoonish racing and kart-based action, it should feel familiar to fans of that earlier game.

Diddy Kong Racing DS is more story based than Mario Kart DS― that is to say, it has a story in the first place. There’s something about an evil Wizpig taking over an island full of talking animals, and you racing in a kart will somehow stop his evil campaign of terror. Make sense? Not really. Fun? You bet. There are loads of courses and mini games that’ll keep you occupied for hours, with extra characters, abilities, and courses to unlock as you progress through the game. You can play against up to eight of your friends once you’ve mastered the basics, which is always the most fun part of any racing game.
