Digital Frames are Coming Soon to a Living Room Near You

Digital Frame MI-PF15

With analog cameras, film, and developing going the way of the dodo, what makes you think traditional picture frames will be spared the same fate? The only step of the photography process that hasn’t been made obsolete by technology is displaying your pictures. You need to somehow print them out into a physical format and then slip them into a frame. If you want to swap pictures, you need to repeat the process.

Well, say goodbye to all that. Digital frames like the CTA Digital MI-PF15 will display photos right off your memory card without you even needing to put them into a computer first. It displays them on a beautiful, crisp 15-inch screen, and it allows you to set up things like slideshows and zooms. You can even set up MP3s to play along with your photos. The included remote control will allow you to switch pictures from afar, too. Say goodbye to your traditional picture frames.

I love my digital picture frame!! I have a bunch of pictures of my grandchildren and animals on there and it just keeps changing. I don't have enough wall space for all the pictures of the kids and they love
looking at the changing pictures too.

I would never replace my regular picture frames - but this works great for me with all the pictures of the kids.

I agree with with the comments of my name sake, the idea of a digital frame is fantastic and I will most likely have one or two for myself. I think it will be a very popular gift to give others for many different occasions. I was always trying to keep my mom up to date on the latest and greatest techno gadgets that I thought she would appreciate and make good use of.
Anthony made a good point about the growing use of electricity. I only hope that a better idea for handling the growing demand gets here sooner than later..

Love the digital frame, but it's not going to replace static pictures. It's great for the office where your space is limited and it's great for giving to grandma, but who is really going to have a handfull of these digital frames on their wall? Cranking out whatever images are not their disks and burning more and more electricity every day. I can see one amongst your traditional frames or even some art deco project in one room where you have a dozen or more displaying pieces of a picture on multiple screens for an artsy fartsy look that has more to do with the frames than the image displayed. Digital frames will compliment not replace.
