EA Grand Slam Tennis

Though it hardly feels that way, each day after December’s winter solstice, daylight is longer and spring is around the corner. EA Grand Slam Tennis, a naturally suitable game for Nintendo Wii players using Wii Motion Plus, is prepping for release to PS3 and for the Xbox 360 game system.

Part of the EA Grand Slam series, Grand Slam Tennis lets you pick a favorite pro Tennis player and swing your racquet away towards victory. The original developers of Grand Slam Tennis originally designed it for the virtual motion sensitive Nintendo Wii format for release in June 2009. So Wii players had a lead at getting into swing of things on the courts. PS3 and X360 were to get their own versions before Christmas 2009 but technical difficulties delayed release. Now EA is ready to deliver Grand Slam Tennis for PS3 and X360 before the Spring equinox and game players are hungry to get into the action.

EA Sports will bring tennis to life and allow players to experience the pressure and excitement of competing in the greatest theaters in the game, and it will be the only videogame to feature the All England Lawn Tennis Club – home of The Championships, Wimbledon. The all-new EA Sports tennis franchise will offer innovative ways to play, both as and against the greatest players from the past or present, letting you control the ball and work the court like you never have before in a tennis videogame.

Electronic Arts has announced the entire list of players featured in EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis. The 23-player line-up features some of the greatest and most accomplished in history including John McEnroe, who is exclusively featured. Joining the enigmatic Mac is an impressive roster of fellow champions who collectively own 135 Grand Slam singles titles, making this the most accomplished group of players ever assembled for a tennis videogame.

Although no exact release date has been announced, the click-sites are beginning to list the PS3 and X360 versions as ready for pre-order. So prepare to spring into action with the most exciting and realistic tennis games ever. With Grand Slam Tennis, you’re on the court and ready to play.
