Elder Scrolls IV: Who Needs Friends?

elder scrolls oblivion

Feel like giving up a few months of your life and dedicating every free moment to living in a rich fantasy world? It might sound dorky, but think of it this way: every Friday night you sit at home playing video games is a night you aren’t out abusing your body and your bank account. Think of all the money you’ll save! Think of how healthy your liver will be!

Convinced? Before you answer, check out Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. You can’t tell me this isn’t worth sacrificing a large amount of your social life. It’s a huge game, one of the biggest I’ve ever played, taking at least 100 hours of play time to complete. Yes, if you played it full-time instead of working it would still take you two and a half weeks to beat. Not only is the game big, but it’s beautiful as well. Featuring some of the best graphics of any game currently out for any system, Oblivion is breathtaking. From the see-for-miles landscapes to the details on the characters, it’s just gorgeous. Toss in an engaging storyline and exciting battles and you’ve got the best excuse to not go out on a Saturday night since SNL stopped being funny.
