Eliminate Ambient Noise With JVC’s HANC250 Headphones

If there’s one thing that really grinds my gears, it’s ambient noise drowning out the sweet tunes on my headphones. It defeats the purpose of listening to music, when the soundtrack of the sidewalk overshadows what i’m listening to.

Which is why I’m always on the hunt for noise cancelling headphones. Here at J&R, we have access to many of the top shelf noise cancelling cans, so if there is something that we think is worthy of our stringent standards, we’ll talk about it.

One such pair of cans that we like is the JVC HANC250 Noise Cancelling Headphones. What a delight these headphones are. Upon putting them on, it literally felt like I was in a hyperbolic chamber and there was nothing but me, my cans and my tunes. They are rated as being capable of eliminating 85% of ambient noise, but it could have fooled me because I could not hear anything other than the music.

Apart from the fact that these are noise cancelling headphones, the audio quality is fantastic. I know in the audiophile crowd, open cans are ideal and noise cancelling headphones are frowned upon, but these really perform extremely well. As with most cans, performance is irrelevant if they are not comfortable, so to put any concerns to rest, these are extremely comfortable. The foam, cushion pads are plush and sit comfortably engulfing the ears.

These are great cans, but like all noise cancelling headphones, please use them with great care and be aware of your surroundings. You don’t want to get run over by a bus, do you?
