Everyone’s a Critic and Most People are DJs

If you were cruelly born with a total lack of musical talent but still have a desire to entertain people with music, DJing is an increasingly popular way to get yourself on stage and make a name for yourself. The only problem is that getting started usually involves a pretty hefty sum, what with needing to buy turntables, a mixer, and a boatload of vinyl. Well, it’s 2006 and it’s about time someone figured out how to make the whole process a lot easier.

The Mixman DM2 is all you need to get started jockeying discs on your own terms; it’s all digital, so you won’t need to spend money on records. Instead, just load it up with your own digitized music or rip stuff straight from a CD. Then use the two “turntables” and the crossfader to sync your songs up and create transitions straight out of a DJ Kicks disc.

Sure, you might not get the “cred” you’d get for having a “real” setup, but for a fraction of the price you can probably justify that.
