Fashion’s Night Out 2009 - Couture Electronique

Fashion Night Out

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week returns to New York City to display designer’s Spring Collections for 2010. The event runs from September 10 to 17 2009.

As part of a global initiative to promote retail, restore consumer confidence, and celebrate fashion, Vogue magazine and the City of New York have declared the first evening’s festivities to be very special as Fashion’s Night Out. Hundreds of major retailers, including J&R Music & Computer World, will join the celebration with special promotions and events.

Initially announced at a press conference by Mayor Bloomberg (who was escorted by Anna Wintour, Zac Posen, Oscar de la Renta, Caroline Herrera, and Vera Wang), the fast-growing event, on the evening of September 10, will entail everything from special in-store events to parties, personal appearances by designers and celebrities, live music, fashion shows, freebies, charity tie-ins, and extended shopping hours till 11 p.m., enticing potential customers. The event will coincide with the start of New York Fashion Week, and (so far) approximately 700 stores across New York’s five boroughs have agreed to participate. There will be many parties, promotions and special events.

Accessories are very significant and add your own personal flair to your stylish appearance. When it comes to couture electronique, fashionable downtown’s J&R offers the widest selection of electronic accessories to enlighten and delight. Media players, earphones, cell phones, and cameras come in a variety of shapes and colors. The iPod Shuffle can clip to virtually any garment. Every bag needs a netbook and every netbook needs a bag.
