Feist Has a Reminder for You

Feist

Feist has been getting a lot of buzz lately, and for good reason. The silky-voiced singer/songwriter’s new album, The Reminder, is one of the finest of the year and clearly her best work as a solo artist.

If you’re not familiar with Feist, you may recognize her voice as one of the female singers in the Canadian collective Broken Social Scene. Stepping out on her own with her debut album Let It Die, she made a name for herself with her catchy, low-key pop songs and clever lyrics.

Now, having come fully into her own as a solo artist, Feist delivers an all-around great album, one that’ll appeal to indie fans who know her from BSS and new fans attracted to her accessible singer/songwriter vibe equally. From initial single My Moon My Man to traditional cover Sea Lion Woman, it’s a top-to-bottom solid effort without a misstep to be found. Don’t let this one pass you by; it’s one Reminder that you’ll want to pay attention to.
