Forza Motorsport 2 Brings the Track to Your Apartment

If you’re a car buff, Manhattan isn’t exactly the best place to get your kicks. You can’t really open the throttle on Broadway, and the West Side Highway is a poor excuse for the open road. Unfortunately, you need to stick to either weekending up at Watkin’s Glen or making your own fun here at home. I recommend the latter.

That’s because Forza Motorsport 2 for the Xbox 360 is on its way. An amazing driving simulator, Forza 2 will let you drive any number of actual cars that you’ll never get a chance to touch in real life, all modeled completely realistically to make you feel like you’re actually on the track. You’ll be able to upgrade basically everything about your car, from the brakes to the intake system, to give yourself the advantage you need to win on the track. You’ll end up with a sizable garage, another thing you’re not likely to have in Manhattan, filled with both classic speedsters from yesterday and the hottest cars from today. It’s the next best thing to actually having a few hundred thousand dollars worth of automobiles and a lot of road to enjoy them on, but it’s a heck of a lot cheaper.
