U2 is releasing their latest greatest hits collection, U218 Songs, on November 21st. Easily one of the most emotionally-charged rock groups ever, they’ve often been called “the biggest band in the world” by the press. U218 Songs covers the high points of their career from the mid-80s to 2004’s hit How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. More recent U2 hits like “Beautiful Day” and “Vertigo” share space with the songs that made them famous — and they hold up well when compared to earlier classics like “New Year’s Day,” “Mysterious Ways” and “Where The Streets Have No Name.” There are also two new songs, “Windows In The Skies” and a collaboration with Green Day titled “The Saints Are Coming.” A Deluxe Edition with a DVD of live performances is also coming out. Pre-order either the standard or deluxe versions and you’ll receive a free limited edition poster. (Plus, as a bonus tip for our readers, we’ll pass this along: If you’re ever on Central Park West, near the Museum of Natural History, keep an eye open and you just might see Bono. He really does wear those sunglasses in public, it isn’t just a gimmick.)
