It used to be that if you decided that you wanted a laptop computer instead of a desktop computer, you were forced to sacrifice performance and quality in order to get the portability you so badly desire. Fortunately, those days are in the past thanks to huge advancements in computer processor technology that lets you get fast speeds without sucking up your battery life and setting your jeans on fire.
One of the last laptop components to catch up with their desktop cousins have been hard drives. It always costs more to get a decent sized hard drive in a laptop, and you can’t get a 750GB monster loaded into one like you can with a tower. However, Fujitsu is making huge steps to close the gap between the two types of computer. They’ve just announced their new MHW2 BJ HDD, the world’s fastest and largest 2.5-inch hard drive. It achieves speeds of 7,200 rpm and can hold 160GB of data, which is nothing to scoff at. Sure, it’s not 750GB, but what the hell do you need that much space for, anyways?
