Finally, a music game that’s not just aimed at the rock market! DJ Hero, coming on October 27th, will finally bring gaming joy to all of the wannabe DJs out there!
Players will simulate using the turntable, which was created exclusively for the game, to score points. The controller will also let the player scratch, cross-fade, and beat match. There will also be options that allow the player to customize their mix with samples and special effects.
Are you left-handed? Not a problem. A portion of the controller can be detached and reattached to adapt the unit for southpaws. Notes will travel in an arc across a spinning record on screen, and the player will hold down one of the 3 stream buttons to play notes; two buttons reflect the two songs used in that particular mix, and the third represents samples to add to the mix which can be adjusted with the effects dial.
Single player mode will be available, as well as coop and competitive gameplay. Ten songs have been specially mixed to also support gameplay with Guitar Hero and other compatible guitar controllers in a “DJ vs Guitar” mode. Players can also use a microphone for a non-scoring addition to the mix. A Jukebox mode will allow the game to automatically play the songs with the ability for a player to jump in and play at any time.
DJ Hero will be available for Xbox 360, the PS3, the Wii and the PS2. Keep checking back with us for the availability of DJ Hero.
