Dreamfall: The Longest Journey has been nominated for an MTV Video Music Award! It’s one of the more original games available, with free-roaming exploration and story-driven action. Now it’s getting a nod for its unique and layered music in the MTV Awards’ new “Best Video Game Score” category. We don’t know if it’ll win, but it really is a nice score.
Assuming you’ve already picked up a Nintendo DS Lite, you’re going to want a little help playing some of its games. The easiest way to do that is with the Action Replay DS. Just slide the Action Replay cartridge into your DS or DS Lite, switch it on and wait a second. Then replace the Action Replay cartrdige with your game cartridge — that’s all it takes to start using real cheat codes. Unlock every game secret, gain infinite lives or ammo, and so on. You’ll never wonder about that secret level or character you never unlocked or that mission you never finished again.
The latest piece of news from the Guild Wars camp is about Guild Wars: Nightfall. The third campaign in the Guild Wars series comes out in mid-September and takes place on a new continent called Elona. Three provinces with very different cultures will be forced to work together, when facing the return of a dark god. As darkness encroaches, you and your party will fight to face the coming nightfall. Guild Wars: Nightfall will come out with a Prerelease Bonus Pack that comes with a special 10-hour/14-day trial of Guild Wars Prophecies and Guild Wars Factions. It also comes with an additional character slot, two exclusive items, concept art and a mini strategy guide.
We’ve also got the latest word about the upcoming Medieval II: Total War. The original Medieval was wild and exciting; we expect the sequel to be just as good, if not better.
