Gateway, once one of the biggest names in personal computers, hasn’t been heard from all too much lately. But they’re looking to change that and make a name for themselves again through unique design, apparently. That’s what their new all-in-one Gateway One leads me to believe, at least.
Reminiscent of Apple’s popular iMacs, the Gateway One features a 19-inch screen, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a healthy 320GB to 500GB hard drive, a DVD burner, and an option of various graphics cards. It’s aimed at people who don’t want to deal with what can often times be a confusing shopping situation, needing to figure out what components you need and which monitor to go with which tower. Actually, on second thought, it’s really not all that confusing, but I guess a little bit simpler makes enough of a difference for it to be worthwhile for Gateway. In any case, we’ll see if this slick all-in-one will be the answer to Gateway’s recent sales woes.
