Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta Details Announced

Oh baby. Halo 3, perhaps the most anticipated game of the year (well, perhaps it’s tied with Grand Theft Auto IV and Metal Gear Solid IV), is prepping it’s multiplayer beta. Yes, that means lowly peons such as yourself will get a chance to play the multiplayer modes of the game months before it officially hits stores. How do you get on board with this? Simmer down, nerdlinger, and I’ll tell you.
Well you see, the Halo 3 multiplayer beta is set to launch on May 16th, offering hardcore gamers the chance to test out all the upcoming games online features for bugs. In order to be one of the lucky guinea pigs, you will have to have a copy of the hot Xbox 360 game Crackdown, as purchasers of that have a free ticket to the beta. The only other way in is by participating in a promotion known as “Rule of Three,” which seems to be over at this point, so it looks like you’ll need to grab Crackdown if you haven’t already.
So if you want in, you’d better get on that, and make sure your copy of Crackdown says on the case that it includes access to the Halo 3 beta, or else you’ll be out of luck. It’ll all be totally worth it when you’re the first person on your block playing what’s sure to be one of the hottest games of the year.
