As someone who was subjected to flooding in their apartment after this past weekends delightful torrential downpour, I can personally attest to the handiness of having a wet/dry vacuum on hand just in case. Sure, while this Hoover S1120 Wet/Dry Hand Vacuum might not be able to suck up the gallons upon gallons of dirty rainwater that poured into my abode, most people are lucky enough to avoid such catastrophes and are more prone to more manageable calamities.

Spill a glass of water on the floor? No need to scrub it up, just suck it up with this hand-held vacuum. Drop a glass of wine? This guy will get both the shards of glass and the wasted vino in one fell swoop. Think of it as a normal handheld dustbuster with the added benefit of it being able to take on those occasional wet messes that cause headaches. Just hope you never have to deal with enough water to make this thing seem puny. Trust me.
