When it comes to cell phone manufacturers, the first names that pop into your head are probably Motorola, LG, and Samsung. You know, the big guys. But have you ever heard of HTC? Unless you’re a big follower of the phone industry, chances are you haven’t. That should change, however, if you’re at all interested in some of the hottest devices currently on the market.
HTC is a far east phone manufacturer that focuses on smartphones. You know, phones that are more like tiny laptops than basic phones. Take a look at the I-Mate TYTN, for example. It blows most of the “big name” phones out of the water with its slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 2.8-inch touchscreen, high-speed 3G mobile Internet, and 2-megapixel digital camera.
The catch? It’s a bit pricey, but that’s because you won’t need to sign up for a 2 year contract with a carrier to use it. Most phones are subsidized by locking you into what amounts to a seriously expensive 2 year lease, but with this guy you can sign up with any carrier you’d like and switch at any time, penalty free. So you’ll have the freedom to use whoever you want, whenever you want, with one of the hottest phones available anywhere. How can you lose?
