Iomega ScreenPlay TV Link Brings Your TV & PC Together

Many products seem to be converging home theater and your PC. As a former HTPC devotee, I think it’s great. The products these days are easy to use, and are geared towards the average person.

One such product is the Iomega ScreenPlay TV Link. It’s a unique little device that’s sure bring some attention to HT and PC integration. We noticed it, so that must mean it’s on to a splendid start.

The ScreenPlay TV Link essentially links the digital files on your computer or hard-drive to your display. It’s sheer genius. It has an HDMI output that connects the device to your display, while you simply connect the device via USB to your PC or external hard-drive and just like that you are up and running. It’s that simple. The device scales up to 1080i via HDMI, so the picture quality will look wonderful.

Kudos to Iomega for making a product that caters to the masses, and that will no doubt enhance home entertainment.

    Nifty little widget indeed.

Also on the J&R site is a certain "Western Digital WDAVN00BN TV HD Media Player" featured on this page: <http: pe="" wd_wdavn00bn="" western-digital="" www.jr.com="">.

Although WD's device functions similarly with "Iomega ScreenPlay TV Link," the two products are categorized under different sections, so the customers are led to think each is a unique product in its own right.

Compare: [Computers > Drives > Miscellaneous Drives > Western Digital WDAVN00BN TV HD Media Player] and [Computers > Accessories and Supplies > Disc and Memory Organizers > Iomega 34386 ScreenPlay TV Link].

    Fyi.

    Cheers :)</http:>
