iPod Shuffle Gets a Makeover

New iPod Shuffles

Apple unveiled an updated line of their popular iPod shuffle today, allowing you to now accessorize yourself with the wee MP3 player. The new colors of pink, blue, green, and orange have been added alongside the traditional grey model, letting you choose exactly which color goes with your outfits. I’m sure Apple would just love it if you bought one of each color so you could choose whichever color would go best with what you’re wearing every morning, but that might be a teeny bit overkill. Or is it?

The guts of the shuffle are still the same as before: 1GB of space to store your music and the ability to listen to your playlists either in order or randomly (shuffle, duh). They’re totally tiny and can clip on your clothes pretty much anywhere, making them one of the most portable music players around. No worries about taking up pocket space, no searching through menus to figure out what you want to listen to, just the feeling of giving yourself up to randomness and chance (and, maybe, laziness) to decide what your soundtrack will be that day. It’s a real load off, isn’t it?
