It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Coming to DVD

When it comes to sitcoms, it seems there are two varieties. There are the nice, family-friendly ones that aim to teach lessons of acceptance and togetherness, and then there are those that make people laugh by crossing the lines of good taste. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia falls distinctly in the latter category.
But then, just by looking at some of the episode titles you can tell that. The pilot? Why, it’s called “The Gang Gets Racist.” The second episode? “Charlie Wants an Abortion.” And so on and so forth, from “Charlie Got Molested” to “Mac Bangs Dennis’ Mom,” they really don’t leave any questionable topic alone. But that’s where the show gets its charm. The characters are so abhorrent that they go right back around to being likable. It’s an irresistible show, full of “I can’t believe they said that” moments and genuine, laugh-out-loud jokes. You know, those things that you often find missing from those more family-friendly shows.
