John Woo Brings His Talents to the Video Game World

Stranglehold

Nobody knows action movies quite like John Woo. He’s directed movies such as Broken Arrow, Face/Off, paycheck, Hostage, and Mission: Impossible II. He clearly knows how to get the bullets and fists flying to great effect. But why stop at movies? He’s a talented guy; he might as well diversify.

And that’s just what he’s done with John Woo Presents: Stranglehold. It’s a pseudo-sequel to his blockbuster action movie Hard Boiled. Chow Yun-Fat reprises his role in this game, but instead of taking all his directions from Woo, he takes them from, well, you. It’ll let you fly through the air in slow motion, firing bullets at anyone in sight. You’ll be able to do things you’d never do in your day-to-day life (I assume), such as swing across a room on a chandelier, spraying bullets the whole time, or leaping onto the roof of a moving car. Yep, it sounds like one of his movies alright.
