Johnny Damon Visits J&R!

Johnny Damon’s visit to J&R created a line that stretched all the way through the store. Boston may hate him for “defecting” to New York, but New York is definitely happy to have him. Fans of all ages came out to meet one of baseball’s most colorful characters. A lucky few even got their pictures taken with Damon — which made one fan REALLY happy, judging by the look on his face. The store was happy was host him; he’s a good player and a nice guy. Next time he comes down, we’ll try to get his autograph on our team mousepad and portable TV screen.

His visit to our store made Page Six of The NY Post. It’s always nice to get your name in the papers, especially in one of the country’s premier gossip columns.

Today’s Page Six also has a great argument between Kevin Smith and Joel Seigel. Smith heard that Seigel, the film reviewer for Good Morning America, was so disgusted by a scene in “Clerks II” that he walked out & trashed the film. Smith trashed the critic on Myspace, and a new feud was born. Read up on it at Page Six, and get ready for “Clerks II” by renting the original.
