Joseph Arthur Coming to J&R

Joseph Arthur is currently on tour, and soon he’ll be playing to packed houses at both Southpaw in Park Slope and Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan. But why fight the crowds and deal with traveling when you can catch him doing an intimate set right here at J&R this week? Performing and signing autographs this coming Friday at 12:30pm, his performance is one you’re not going to want to miss.
Bringing his own twist to the contemporary singer/songwriter genre, Arthur recently traveled to Uganda, where he spent a lot of time with kids who were in refugee camps. He ended up recording a song featuring over one hundred of them as backup singers and has made it a personal mission of his to get the word out about the displaced in Africa.
While he won’t have his 100-child chorus with him at J&R, he’s sure to play some of the songs that have made him popular enough to launch him from little old Brooklyn into the international spotlight. Don’t miss out.
You can pick up his new CD “Let’s Just Be” online or in store. For directions to J&R, click here.
