The Salute To Israel Parade, the largest gathering in the world in support of Israel, celebrated the 59th Anniversary of the State of Israel, May 6, 2007 on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Spectators, many wearing “I (heart) Israel” buttons and stickers, lined the parade route between 56th and 79th streets cheering for 19 bands, 100,000 marchers and over 40 floats, including one sponsored by J&R.

Israeli singer Idan Raichel and members of New York’s WBA team, The Liberty, Shay Doron, Shamika Christian and Cathy Kraayeveld rode the J&R float with Joe and Rachelle Friedman, founders of J&R Music and Computer World.

Since 1964, the Salute To Israel Parade has been a public affirmation of solidarity with and support of Israel, as well as an expression of unity within the American Jewish community transcending religious and political affiliations.
