Sonia is thrilled to have been touring with the Grammy Award winning group Dan Zanes And Friends as a singer and guitarist since 2007. She appears on their latest albums “¡Nueva York!”, “The Welcome Table”, “76 Trombones”, “Little Nut Tree” and the DVD “The Fine Friends Are Here”. Lately, Sonia has been recording songs she has written over the last few years and is very excited about putting them out in the world soon… Sonia studied musical theater at Circle in the Square Theater School in New York City and holds a BS in Communications from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.

Mona Kayhan was born in Chicago, and since early childhood, she had a strong desire to use her voice to entertain. “My parents told me I was singing as soon as I could talk. I remember always singing in my home.” At an early age, Mona performed on the Broadway tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat starring Donny Osmond and currently lives in NYC where she continues to sing as a recording artist and vocalist. She has performed at NYC venues such as Don’t Tell Mama’s, The Met Room, Galapagos, Bowery Poetry Club and the 92Y Tribeca, as well as with the kids band, Tor and Peter DiStefano at Kidzapalooza and Austin Kiddie Limits.

Mona has a passion for bilingual education, especially through music. Fluent in both French and Persian, you can find her most recently performing in a Persian country band known as Vatan. She has also been a francophile for many years, starting out as a student in elementary school to studying abroad in Paris, France and Bamako, Mali.
