Lair Finally Brings Dragon-Based Combat to the PS3

You’d think that, as one of the coolest and most popular characters in fantasy stories, dragons would be more prevalent in video games. Instead they’re constantly pushed to the side by the likes of aliens, Nazi’s, and NFL quarterbacks. Well, dragons are about to get the day in the sun they so deserve, as Lair is about to be released for the Playstation 3.

In Lair, you get to ride around on the back of a hulking dragon, flinging fire at anything and anyone that gets on your bad side. And, luckily for you, there are lots of people on your bad side. You’ve got to protect your kingdom from a full-scale attack, and you’ll be taken all over your empire to do so. From huge canyons to cities bustling with life, you’ll get a dragon’s-eye perspective on it all. The controls are extra-intuitive thanks to the PS3 Sixaxis controller, which is motion-sensing and lets you steer your dragon my merely tilting the controller. It’ll let you pick up and play right away, bringing your dragon-riding fantasies to life on your HDTV like never before.
