Laser TVs: The Next Big Thing?

It seems like every other month some new technology comes along to make what we thought was the new standard seem obsolete in comparison. This months version of the wave of the future: laser TVs. Yes, laser TVs. How can you not get excited about a technology that combines two things that are so awesome?

Laser TVs are a type of rear projection television technology that uses a laser backlight to create insanely bright and vivid colors. Mitsubishi has shown off a 65-inch laser TV, although as to when it’ll hit stores and how much it’ll cost, they aren’t saying. That, of course, means they’ll be insanely expensive, but if you were looking to get in on the ground floor for the hottest, latest, and greatest new TV technology that you can show off to the neighbors, this looks like the one to get behind. That is, until a few months from now, when some other technology has some buzz behind it that’ll put this to shame. What a world!
