When it comes to intensity and jumping-out-of-your-seat thrills, it’s tough to beat zombie movies. From Dawn of the Dead to 28 Days Later, some of the most memorable, classic scary movies have zombies in them. And zombies have had their own memorable entrants in the video game world, with games like Resident Evil and Dead Rising delivering their own takes on the genre. But none have really brought the terror of sprinting zombies to games. Yet.
Enter Left 4 Dead. This cooperative zombie thriller allows you and some of your closest friends to take on an overwhelming zombie horde. And unlike in other zombie games, you won’t be able to predict where the scares are going to come from once you’ve played it through once; every time you enter an area, the zombies will come at you at different times and from different places. Just like real zombies, they’re unpredictable. If you like having the pants scared off you, Left 4 Dead is gonna be at the top of your list this holiday season.
