Live Free or Die Hard Continues the Die Hard Tradition

Is there a better action hero than Bruce Willis’ John McClaine? I really don’t think there is. With the original Die Hard widely considered to be one of the best action movies of all time, if not the best, and sequels that live up to the fun and bombast of the original, I think we can say for sure that no one really comes close to McClaine.
Live Free or Die Hard, the fourth movie in the venerable Die Hard series, certainly lives up to its name. It’s a classic action flick; it’s not based on a comic book and it’s not centered around a bunch of insane special effects. It’s just about a rough and tumble action hero blowing stuff up and taking out bad guys one at a time until the task at hand is complete, all while spouting witty one-liners at appropriate moments. There’s no cheesy love story to distract from the action, and the stunts are all as real as can be. Yes, they actually blew up a helicopter with a car. How can you not love a movie that has that in it?
