Lord of the Rings MMORPG is Nerd Heaven

If there’s a dorkier combination out there than the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Massive Multiplayer Online RPGs, I’m not quite sure what it is. But hey, just because something is less cool than Yanni playing at Coachella doesn’t mean it isn’t worthwhile and fun. Especially if you’re a dork.

But hey, why fight it? What’s fun is what’s fun. So bite the bullet, embrace your inner nerd, and dive headfirst into Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. You’re sure to be just tickled by the fact that you can now explore all of Middle Earth as your choice of a Hobbit, a Dwarf, an Elf, or a Man. Epic quests! Magic! Fantasy! Are you excited yet, nerdlinger?

Even better, you can choose later on in the game to play as a monster and fight players trying to complete their quest as heroes. It’s a unique twist on the standard MMORPG format, one that’ll be sure to mix things up and make you even more addicted to the game. And sure, your social life will suffer even more, but just think of it as a way to save money, as you won’t be going out much anymore.
