Machel Montano Live Soca @ J&R

Machel Montano brought his high energy, unpredictable stage presence to J&R Music World for a lunch-time performance marking the U.S. release of his latest CD, “Book of Angels”. Celebrating his 25th anniversary in the music business this year, Machel Montano’s J&R in-store appearance served as a warm-up for his March 24th MSG show with his new band “HD”.

A generous showman, Machel didn’t hold back, but gave the excited audience a healthy dose of fast-paced music and stage antics. He introduced a new song using the crowd’s rhythmic clapping as a accompaniment. The video captures him calling up a female fan to the stage, who danced well with him and said she wanted to be Mrs. Montano, to which Machel joked, “Take a number and get in line.”

The “Book of Angels” CD and tickets for tonight’s midnight show at MSG are available in J&R Music World.
