Wii Sports, the game that comes bundled with every Nintendo Wii, does a great job of showing off how the motion sensing controller that comes with the system can make sports games fun. Unfortunately, the sports games in Wii Sports are simple to the extreme. In Wii Baseball, for example, there’s not even any fielding. It’s merely pitching and hitting.
If you’re looking for a baseball game for the Wii that retains the fun and levity of Wii Sports but one that has a bit more depth to it, you’ll definitely want to check out Mario Super Sluggers. It’s a new baseball game for the Nintendo Wii featuring your normal stable of Nintendo characters, and it lets you wildly swing your Wiimote around while also getting to control your outfielders. So go ahead, put down Wii Sports. It’s time to upgrade to Mario Super Sluggers.
