This holiday season is pretty jam-packed with highly-anticipated video games, but even in such a crowded field a few titles manage to stand out above the rest. One of those titles is Mass Effect, an epic sci-fi RPG from BioWare.

Set 200 years in the future, the game revolves around some alien artifacts that were discovered, greatly speeding up technological advancement and putting humans in touch with some of their neighbors around the galaxy. Not only will you be pitted against alien races who aren’t exactly happy to see humans caught up to their speed, but also artificial intelligent that uses everything at its disposal to put roadblocks in your way on your route to saving the world. You know, just another day in the life of a futuristic space hero. With graphics that’ll blow you away and a story so deep that it’ll take you tens of hours to finish it, Mass Effect should be at the top of your holiday gaming wishlist.
